Production Worker


This position is responsible for performing operations tasks involving the receiving, storage, cleaning, packaging and shipping of grain.


  • Perform assigned food grain operations tasks including but not limited to general facility upkeep, sampling for quality, and packaging

  • Operate various types of mobile equipment such as a forklift, bobcat, or payloader

  • Identify and report food safety and quality issues to the facility supervisor


  • Has developed skills through formal training or considerable work experience

  • Works within established procedures

  • Completes work with a moderate degree of supervision


  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

  • 1-2 years’ relevant experience required

  • Must be able to work Monday-Thursday, 8:00am-6:00pm

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally 100 lbs.

  • Must be able to work in high places and in confined spaces.

  • Must have previous operations experience, preferably in food processing.

  • Frequent exposure to fumes, cold, heat, dirt, dust and noise.

  • Must be able to work various shifts as well as swing shifts during peak seasons.

  • Must be flexible to working daily overtime and weekends as needed.

  • Safe operation of mobile equipment such as a forklift.

  • High degree of customer service skills.

  • Has a basic understanding of food processing and can run equipment efficiently. Ability to make adjustments as needed to ensure quality is not compromised.

  • Can input data into the facility food safety forms.

  • Can identify food safety concerns and report findings.

  • Strong expectations of adhering to, living, and breathing the safety culture of the company/facility.

  • Must comply with personal and food safety requirements.
