This position is responsible for performing operations tasks involving the receiving, storage, cleaning, packaging and shipping of grain.
Perform assigned food grain operations tasks including but not limited to general facility upkeep, sampling for quality, and packaging
Operate various types of mobile equipment such as a forklift, bobcat, or payloader
Identify and report food safety and quality issues to the facility supervisor
WHAT IS EXPECTED OF YOU AND OTHERS AT THIS LEVEL
Has developed skills through formal training or considerable work experience
Works within established procedures
Completes work with a moderate degree of supervision
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
1-2 years’ relevant experience required

Must be able to work Monday-Thursday, 8:00am-6:00pm
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently and occasionally 100 lbs.
Must be able to work in high places and in confined spaces.
Must have previous operations experience, preferably in food processing.
Frequent exposure to fumes, cold, heat, dirt, dust and noise.
Must be able to work various shifts as well as swing shifts during peak seasons.
Must be flexible to working daily overtime and weekends as needed.
Safe operation of mobile equipment such as a forklift.
High degree of customer service skills.
Has a basic understanding of food processing and can run equipment efficiently. Ability to make adjustments as needed to ensure quality is not compromised.
Can input data into the facility food safety forms.
Can identify food safety concerns and report findings.
Strong expectations of adhering to, living, and breathing the safety culture of the company/facility.
Must comply with personal and food safety requirements.
