Our practice employees physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and knowledgeable patient care coordinators to best serve your movement needs. Our providers are certified in Astym, LSVT BIG, Dry Needling and Blood Flow Restriction Training (BFR). All our clinics are also designated Petal Project certified, Blue Zones Project Worksite certified, and Little Free Library site locations.

Job Description: Front Desk Receptionist – Physical Therapy Solutions Dubuque

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexible as needed)
Job Type: Full-time | Work Location: In-person

Physical Therapy Solutions is seeking a friendly, organized, and team-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our Dubuque clinic. As an essential part of our patient care team, you’ll help create a welcoming environment where patients feel supported from the moment they arrive. You’ll collaborate daily with therapists, office staff, and referring providers to ensure smooth operations and exceptional patient experiences.

Essential Duties: Answer and direct incoming phone calls; serve as a liaison between patients, the public, and clinic staff.
Schedule patient appointments efficiently and process physician orders.
Greet, instruct, and assist patients and visitors upon arrival.
Register patient demographics and insurance information accurately.
Obtain insurance authorizations when required.
Maintain and file medical records with attention to detail and confidentiality.
Assist the Office Manager with entering charges, posting payments, and managing patient accounts.
Copy medical records for attorneys, insurance companies, and other authorized parties.
Support therapists and help maintain organized clinical areas.

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required
Associate degree in Medical Secretary, Medical Records, or CNA preferred
Two or more years of medical office experience preferred.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask, follow instructions, and work both independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in computer use, word processing, and spreadsheets.
Knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and medical/insurance terminology is a plus
