Job Title: Janitor
Job Description: The Janitor assists operations by performing a variety of tasks and being responsible for daily housekeeping, minor repairs, and maintenance of the company facilities and grounds.
Essential Duties: Keep the interior and exterior of buildings in a clean and orderly condition.
Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning, vacuuming floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls, and cleaning glass.
Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment; service, clean, and supply restrooms.
Clear and remove rubbish.
Notify management or designated personnel concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems, ordering housekeeping supplies and materials.
Perform routine P&M on light fixtures, bulbs, etc.
Gather and empty trash; collect and separate recyclables from trash and deposit in the correct collection bins.
Performs insect and rodent control on a periodic basis.
Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
Qualifications: Experience Qualifications
1+ years of commercial housekeeping and building maintenance experience required.
Skills and Abilities
Must have excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
Must be knowledgeable and experienced in the use of various hand tools.
Must have a good work ethic, attitude, and be reliable.
Solid basic math skills are necessary.
Capable of reading and understanding English instructions, both written and verbal; read, comprehend, and comply with the Company’s policies and procedures, including safety and security.
Understanding and commitment to a safe work environment.
Reliable transportation is required.
