Job Title: On-Site Supervisor
Job Description: The On-site Supervisor should be comfortable answering, screening and routing incoming phone calls while taking clear messages when necessary. Be able and ready to perform essential administrative support tasks. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Essential Duties:
• Be familiar with DHS licensing requirements
• Be familiar with center routines and policies
• Supervise and communicate with staff
• Communicate with parents
• Maintain duties of classroom teacher when needed
• Assist with mealtime routines
• Relieve staff for breaks
• Be able to open and close center when scheduled
• Able to assist the director and assistant director manage CACFP (food program)
• Assist with maintaining children’s files, making sure they are current and up to date.
• Able to enter children’s schedules into the computer
• Able to provide tours to perspective parents
• Assist with the center fundraisers
• Assist the director and assistant director in any capacity essential to operation of the center
• Supervise the center in the director or assistant director absence
• Other duties as required
Qualifications:
• Early Childhood certificate or two years working in a licensed childcare center (Preferred)
• Demonstrates competency in working independently with children, parents and other staff
• Has a desire to grow in the field of Early Childhood
• Must meet qualifications on DHS point system
• Successful state criminal background check
• Successful federal fingerprint check
