Job Description: Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and professional Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about preventative dentistry, patient education, and upholding the high standard of care our patients have come to expect. You will play a vital role in our patients' health journey by providing thorough cleanings, conducting assessments, and helping them achieve optimal oral hygiene.
Essential Duties: Key Responsibilities
• Patient Care: Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, periodontal screenings, and oral health assessments.
• Education: Provide clear, personalized education to patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventative care.
• Clinical Excellence: Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to all infection control and safety protocols.
• Patient Comfort: Create a welcoming, non-judgmental environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their dental concerns and financial options.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with Dr. Julie, our dental assisting and administrative team to ensure a seamless and positive patient experience.
Qualifications: • Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current Iowa RDH license with certification to administer local anesthesia.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)/Health Care Provider CPR required.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter – Child and Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) days of hire.
• Excellent clinical and oral/written communication skills
• Ability to work well with patients and co-workers, efficient, organized, dependable, enthusiastic, and energetic.
• Typing and Basic computer skills required.
