Hollywood actor Dwier Brown, who played John Kinsella (Costners father) in the movie Field of Dreams, and his development partner, David Feigin are purchasing the old Tegeler’s Dairy building, a Dyersville icon.  The pair of developers intend to create three spacious and unique apartments along with commercial and riverfront space to lease. Work on the structure, originally built in the late 1800’s is slated to begin this fall. The City of Dyersville received a Community Catalyst Building Remediation Program grant in the amount of $100,000 to help in the renovation of the property.

Feigin is known in California circles as the Woolworth Guy for his extensive renovation of a historic Woolworth store in Osnard California and Dwier Brown is likely best  known for his Kinsella portrayal in the international blockbuster movie Field of Dreams.  Brown is no stranger to Dyersville, participating in special events at the Field of Dreams throughout its over 30 year history. Brown, fell in love with the building on one of his recent trips back to Dyersville and wanted to do something meaningful to preserve the history a create a unique business opportunity for the community.  Stay tuned for conceptual renderings and renovation progress
